🔍 TradingView 101: Stalking the Market (Without Losing Your Mind)

Okay, so you’ve got your broker, your demo account is glowing, and TradeLocker’s looking kinda cute on your phone. Now it’s time to meet your new BFF: TradingView.
This is the app where you learn to read the market. It’s where you mark up price, analyze trends, and say things like, “Price is respecting this level” with zero shame.
🧠 What Is TradingView?
TradingView = Your Charts. Period.
This is where the magic happens. And by magic, we mean:
Watching price go up and down like a drama queen
Drawing lines and pretending we’re psychic
Zooming in and out 84 times, trying to “see the bigger picture”
Professional traders use it. Newbies love it. It’s free. It’s clean. It works.
🧾 Step-by-Step: How to Get Started
✅ How to Set Up:
Go to the link and sign up (use a real email, TradingView ain’t here for the spam life)
Choose Free Plan (it’s more than enough for now)
Once you’re in, hit that search bar and type EUR/USD (or any pair you’re watching)
Click “Full-featured chart.” And Boom! Welcome to the matrix.
🖌️ Basic Tools You’ll Use
🟦 Trendline Tool
Draw lines like a boss. Use it to find support/resistance, channels, and fake-outs.
🟨 Horizontal Line
Use this to mark your zones, where the price likes to bounce or break. Think of them like market speed bumps.
🟧 Brush Tool
Want to scribble on your chart like it’s study notes? This is your tool.
🟪 Text Tool
Leave yourself messages like:
“Follow your rules, dummy!”
“Wait for confirmation!”
“Did you drink water today?”
🟩 Indicators
You get access to a ton of moving averages, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands...Pick one or two. Don’t turn your chart into a NASA dashboard, please.
📱 TradingView on Mobile
Yes, there’s an app. Yes, it’s amazing. Check charts at lunch. At the gym. In the bathroom (no shame, I do). Yes, you can execute trades from TradingView, but we like to use TradeLocker for that.
🧠 What You’re Actually Learning Here
How price moves
How to identify trends
Where the market might turn
How to trust your eyes, not your emotions
This is how you stop guessing and start analyzing. Charts don’t lie. But they do throw tantrums, and TradingView helps you see them coming.
🛠️ Pro Tips:
Use different timeframes: 15-1H for setups, 4H for trends, and Daily for the big picture.
Save your charts. Save your life.
Create watchlists so you're not searching EUR/USD every 3 minutes.
Learn shortcuts (you’ll feel like a ninja).
🎓 Homework:
Open TradingView, search for a currency pair, and mark up (or doodle) your charts by trying out some of the tools provided.
